2024年9月20日、大阪府貝塚市の水間地区において、次回「Wrapping The Earth」開催に向けた現地視察を実施いたしました。
本プロジェクトでは、水間鉄道株式会社様のご協力のもと、鉄道車両をプロジェクションマッピングでラッピングし、沿線地域をアートで彩るという新たな取り組みを進めております。
視察では、貝塚駅から水間観音駅までの約15分間、実際に電車に乗車し、車内の広告スペースや内装の特別仕様化についてのご提案をいただきました。これにより、沿線を走る電車そのものを舞台にした、ダイナミックな演出が可能になる見込みです。
また、水間観音駅から水間寺までの徒歩約10分の道程も、歴史ある街並みと自然が調和した環境を生かし、ラッピング演出の一環として検討しております。視察では、水間寺の各所からラッピングアートがどのように映えるかを検証し、併せて地域の皆様にも楽しんでいただける企画についての意見交換を行いました。
「Wrapping The Earth」プロジェクトの一つの大きな目的は、水間寺の歴史的建造物を保全し、その価値を未来へと引き継ぐことです。今回の企画では、歴史ある水間寺の建造物にプロジェクションマッピングを投影し、時代を超えた美を創出することで、アートによる瞬間の感動を後世に残すことを目指します。この取り組みを通じ、地域の文化財の重要性を再認識し、文化保全活動を促進してまいります。
水間地区を歩きながら感じたのは、歴史と自然が織り成す調和のとれた風景の美しさです。この地域に息づく伝統と共に、現代アートを融合させることで、訪れる方々に新しい視点で地域の魅力を感じていただけるイベントを実現していきたいと考えております。
